‘Love’ in a Makeshift World

‘Love’ in a Makeshift World

It was the 14th of February. I woke up inside a bucket. Or rather, I found myself in a bucket. My research on humans bore result and I finally crossed the time barrier and reached the earth. This was success, personally for me, and I had broken the old jinx. Because even though we have been studying humans, we couldn’t cross over to really land on the surface. I dint even tell anybody that I had come. I dint have a choice of how I come, or where I appear. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have ever chosen this smelly bucket. The bucket was the sign. Humans bathe, wear clothes. Primitive age signs I tell you. And God, humans wear so many clothes. I thank my stars (especially the five suns that we have) that I dont. We’re independent that way. There was a pile of clothes on top of me when I woke up, or rather when I was transported. Good thing was that it made me unnoticeable. But I couldn’t take it any longer; the smell inside the whole thing. The earthy smell of fresh rain in the clothes was mixed with a herbal acidic smell of chemicals. A strong one though. Male, works in a factory. But on his shirt, there was this flushy kind of a smell which made it obvious that he had recently bought a bouquet of red roses. Now I was interested in this guy. I peeped outside, it was a four walled sided, eight cornered room, just as I had expected. Humans dont think any further than a cubical room. Has anybody thought of a tetrahedral room? I have one, and it is out of the world.
Literally. 😀

I got a call early in the morning today, that the last witness in President Begin’s trials has been brutally killed in Kiryat Motzkin, Haifa. His name was Professor Yaakov Keret. I rushed to the place, because stating the obvious; THE PRESIDENT WAS THE NEXT TARGET. When I reached the crime scene and saw what was in store for me, I really wished I hadn’t come. The body was literally mutilated like chewed food. The forensics expert Ronit Kolirin studied the body and the blood spatter carefully, and I could see it in her face that even she was uneasy, just standing around it, let alone study it. It was just not undemanding to understand what exactly took this man’s soul away. After being stabbed so many times, the professor was injected with Rloredophan on his neck, which is essentially a military grade experimental biological weapon. If injected into the blood stream, the cells undergo fission, and almost instantaneously the particles cause micro-explosions in the blood vessels which rupture the skin. So technically, it is the most painful way to die. We turned the house upside down and found no trace, no fingerprint and no evidence whatsoever. This obviously meant that whoever was doing this, knew what they were doing. They were acting fast, and wanted to squander time, our time. The note indicated that he exactly knew our moves, and the fact that we would beef up The President’s security. It was astonishing how he has been one step ahead of me all the time. The threat towards the president was very real this time. Here in Israel, the President’s office receiving a death threat was not uncommon. “Local boys with a grudge” google how to make a bomb, and plot to assault the President of the most advanced country in this world. But, this one was making sense. The intell was shocking and unexpected. The terrorist cells and splinter groups inside our country wanted to end the rule of the present government, even though the general public elected it. And also what really was triggering the threat was the fact that President Benjamin Begin had made the decision to sign a treaty with The United Nations. The treaty was about allowing the UN to interfere with internal emergency situations in Israel, and impede in the time of national and international conflicts. Israel has been in war with various neighbouring countries over the past four decades and by signing this treaty, President Begin was trying to bring peace in to a community which hadn’t known peace for generations now. But the Jewish people in general weren’t really happy with the idea, because the UN was technically owned by Germany after its victory in the Great War in 1945, and after what Germany had done to the Jews, you cannot really expect Israel to be diplomatically in good terms with Germany.

Since the President’s declaration of his decision, terrorists have attacked the nation in various ways in an intention to start a civil war. The newly built state department building was targeted three days back, and a part of it was destroyed by a surface to surface shoulder held missile, nearly missing President’s motorcade by a minute. Also, a man in his late forties was caught carrying three shaped charged cases of Semtex inside the Knesset building a week before. Also our country’s FTC, Federal Terrorist Control had received intelligence reports of killings and heists all over and outside Jerusalem, and stating the obvious, the killings were done to a target group. All of them were witnesses to President Begin’s acquittal during the trials of 1964. So, there was definitely somebody out there, looking for the President’s blood, and being his Head of Security, I had to make sure that it doesn’t happen. The House I Built

abandonedhs5

As I walk down the lane, it’s dark,
too dark even to be noticeable.
There is one light that I see, from the far end, which tells me
that I am travelling on the true path, the difficult path.
And as I listen to the song,
I remember the dream;
I remember the house
The house I built…. Continue reading “The House I Built”

Apple Pie

When she decided to leave,
it was the first day of July.

From her very melancholic home,
where she spent a sad childhood, a lie.

Amidst the flood of poverty and abuse,
She sold apple pies, and held her head up, high and dry…

Her already dead father, she wanted to kill
(Not that she didn’t ever try) Continue reading “Apple Pie”
